ETHNIC STREETS IN THE WORLD

・Auburn is located 16km west of central Sydney.The Auburn Gallipoli Mosque,
　which was built by the Turkish immigrant community, stands out at the east of
　the station.

・The history of this shopping street reflects the history of immigrants to
　Australia; the Europeans who lived here first became wealthy and then moved
　on to other towns. Then immigrants from Turkey, Lebanon and Vietnam came
　to Auburn and built the Mosque and brought Islamic groceries. Soon after,
　Iraqi, Iranian and Chinese immigrants also moved in to the area.

・Now we can see many Chinese signs of butchers and fishmongers that are
　gathered in front of the station.
